The Fruita Arts & Culture Board is committed to promoting, supporting and encouraging the arts and culture opportunities in Fruita. Established in early 2009, The Board was appointed by the City of Fruita in its efforts to advance the cultural, educational and economic growth of its community.

The Board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm at the Fruita Community Center. You are welcome to join us.

Call for Quilt Blocks

Festival Theme: Come Home to Fruita – 100 Years of Festival Traditions

Brought to you by the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce and the Fruita Arts and Culture Board.

Blocks will be made into a quilt that will be raffled off by the Fruita Lions Club at the 2014 Alpine Bank Fruita Fall Festival, September 26 through 28.

Guidelines to submit quilt blocks:

Material: 100% cotton muslin.

Technique: Blocks may be produced via hand or machine

Signature: Please sign your block

Size: 9.5” X 9.5” square allow ¼“ seam allowance

Labeling: Pin or use sticky label to identify your block. Enter name, contact number, email and mailing address. (Do not use scotch tape as it tends to ruin fabric) Your block will be batted and sewn into a quilt

Deadline: All block entries must be received by Wednesday, April 15, 2014. Submit to Fruita Chamber, 432 East Aspen Avenue, Fruita CO 81521 OR hand to any Fruita Arts and Culture Board member.
